Lac Leman, Geneva (2020)

Lac Leman, Geneva was the scene that was a constant for Marjorie from 2009 till 2011. Living in Switzerland during a climb of political racism against the Latin American community was a struggle while also trying to fit-in at an interna-tional high school. Though it was a rough time to exist as a Peruvian American, the beauty of culture, history, and nature of the city would erase all of that societal pressure for at least a moment. This watercolor expresses the imper-fections of the paint while using it to build a pan-oramic view of the city by the lake.

Based on the international grounds of College Du Leman, Versoix, Switzerland.
